Why would you want to do something new? Is the old broken? Is there a better way? Or has something served its purpose?
Perhaps you have a desire to grow closer to God. Mark 4:26-29 explains how the Kingdom of God works. An in this passage we read about harvesting, time, how a seed grows into a mature plant, rest and activity, cycles, field and seed.
It all starts with the seed planted, and we have a basic choice to make: Godly seed or not. Godly seed brings forth a Godly purpose in the Kingdom of God. God causes the seed to grow, mature and achieve its potential.
On the other hand, if un-Godly seed, such as negativity, gossip etc. is sowed, then matters will develop and grow according to the seed planted. A seed is true to what it is.
It is our desire that the Gospel is planted in our lives, that we mature and bring forth fruit in God’s kingdom. If your life is not bringing forth Godly fruit, is it then not time for something new? Allow God to plant the seed.
